2009 Fall Tour - Folly Beach

Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Spend a Sunday afternoon touring unique and beautiful gardens at the Charleston Horticultural Society's "Gardens for Gardeners Fall Tour"!  The tour this year will be at Folly Beach rain or shine.

Join fellow garden lovers and let your curiosity take you to a tropical oasis where you will have the exclusive opportunity to explore some of the most diverse gardens in the Lowcountry. All are certain to inspire and delight in endless possibilities.

These gardens have mastered all that the extreme elements can dish out. From the salt breezes, bright sunlight and sandy soil, the beach is one of the most challenging areas to garden and it is xeriscape gardening at its best. Come see how these exciting horticultural wonderlands with their lush foliage, cascading vines, arching palms and windswept oaks can inspire ideas to be taken home and used in your own outdoor spaces. Whether you admire old world charm, contemporary beauty, or tropical landscapes, you will find this eclectic and evolving array of outdoor spaces simply divine.
